me being me, obviously can't wait for the movie.in preparation (haha like arif like that) i rewatched the trailers over and over, rewatched the first film the night before, bought an ROTF tee and an optimus prime toy, and listening to linkin park's new divide for god knows how many times.
yes such a geek i know.
alrighty the movie.one word - AWESOMEEE.just darn motherfucking awesome.it definitely owns watchmen in terms of action, scale and whatever.except the storyline that is, which is pretty generic.
the fallen brings the decepticons to invade earth.the autobots comes in and stop them.the fight between good and evil is waged and the good truimph in the end.the guy gets the girl.
but but but.one must remember transformers IS meant to be a wham bam no brainer action flick.and that's what director michael bay is good at.
non stop action from the start towards the end, massive explosions and even massive damage, awesome CGI and even more awesome fight scenes. with full on metal collision of robots against robots.and us boys we love our robots.
it's just like seeing your childhood dream come true, seeing the cartoon series being brought to big screen.though i was brought up on beast wars rather than robots in disguise.but it's just something inside us that makes us go wet over such heavy tin soldiers.
because we can never imagine special effects wld be so good that we will see realistic robots on screen.another is the way autobots/decepticons trasform to their robot form.it's just woahh.
OPTIMUS PRIME!ever since the trailers, he was going to be the main focus of the whole movie.and he ownsss, especially the starting scene where he airdropped from the air carrier and transformed in mid-air.the most awesomest starting scene ever ever.
and who can forget that scene he took on 3 decepticons (megatron, starscream and grindor) all at one go and still managed to slice grindor's head into half.the 2 energy blades are hot stuff X 100.
BUMBLEBEE!the autobot that everyone loves.he's the cutest robot ever i swear.sings / i'm so exciteddd!
love it whenever sam calls "bumblebee!" and it just transforms and at ready with his cannons.love how the way it took down rampage and ravage in the ending desert scene, no fucking mercy.love how it was made to be the most human of the autobots, how it cared for sam as a guardian and all that.
and it cried!awwww.
MUDFLAPS AND SKIDS!the twin autobots, whole initially appeared as an old ice-cream truck before it get upgraded to being seperate robots.probably the most memorable addition to the new robots in the movie.
and who can ever forget megan fox? =DD
as usual, she's hotter than ever.probably every fanboy's favourite pin up girl ever since she opened bumblebee's flap and arcs her body in the first movie.now you got her leaning on a huge ass bike showing off her ass.niceee.
and ZOMFGG to the moments she showed off that turqoise coloured eyes of hers.and the part where she said that she needs sam when he's half dying.such a lucky bastard.
and the best line she said in the movie.KISS THAT, BITCH!
and the supporting cast is also good, providing comic relief to the movie (sam's parents, his roommate, that sector 7 fella).
not forgetting the other transformers on either side.had goosebumps when jetfire came alive and transformed.sideswipe owned sideways with just a blade.ironhide commanding leadership when optimus is not around.and wheelie the RC monster truck is so darn cute too!
it actually humped megan fox's legs!zomfgggzzz.
the fallen looks menacing while neither starscream nor megatron was as imposing as the first movie.bad thing is that decepticons die too easily, though they have quite the number of transformers.
overall, 5 out of 5 popcorns.no doubt the best movie this year, despite the thin storyline and repetitive soundtrack.nothing beats robots whacking the shit out of each other.
