caught transformers: revenge of the fallen ytd with sherilyn.probably the hugest movie event of the year, considering most cinemas are sold out or in our case, a full house which i managed to book the tickets to.
me being me, obviously can't wait for the movie.in preparation (haha like arif like that) i rewatched the trailers over and over, rewatched the first film the night before, bought an ROTF tee and an optimus prime toy, and listening to linkin park's new divide for god knows how many times.
yes such a geek i know.
alrighty the movie.one word - AWESOMEEE.just darn motherfucking awesome.it definitely owns watchmen in terms of action, scale and whatever.except the storyline that is, which is pretty generic.
the fallen brings the decepticons to invade earth.the autobots comes in and stop them.the fight between good and evil is waged and the good truimph in the end.the guy gets the girl.
but but but.one must remember transformers IS meant to be a wham bam no brainer action flick.and that's what director michael bay is good at.
non stop action from the start towards the end, massive explosions and even massive damage, awesome CGI and even more awesome fight scenes. with full on metal collision of robots against robots.and us boys we love our robots.
it's just like seeing your childhood dream come true, seeing the cartoon series being brought to big screen.though i was brought up on beast wars rather than robots in disguise.but it's just something inside us that makes us go wet over such heavy tin soldiers.
because we can never imagine special effects wld be so good that we will see realistic robots on screen.another is the way autobots/decepticons trasform to their robot form.it's just woahh.
OPTIMUS PRIME!ever since the trailers, he was going to be the main focus of the whole movie.and he ownsss, especially the starting scene where he airdropped from the air carrier and transformed in mid-air.the most awesomest starting scene ever ever.
and who can forget that scene he took on 3 decepticons (megatron, starscream and grindor) all at one go and still managed to slice grindor's head into half.the 2 energy blades are hot stuff X 100.
BUMBLEBEE!the autobot that everyone loves.he's the cutest robot ever i swear.sings / i'm so exciteddd!
love it whenever sam calls "bumblebee!" and it just transforms and at ready with his cannons.love how the way it took down rampage and ravage in the ending desert scene, no fucking mercy.love how it was made to be the most human of the autobots, how it cared for sam as a guardian and all that.
and it cried!awwww.
MUDFLAPS AND SKIDS!the twin autobots, whole initially appeared as an old ice-cream truck before it get upgraded to being seperate robots.probably the most memorable addition to the new robots in the movie.
and who can ever forget megan fox? =DD
as usual, she's hotter than ever.probably every fanboy's favourite pin up girl ever since she opened bumblebee's flap and arcs her body in the first movie.now you got her leaning on a huge ass bike showing off her ass.niceee.
and ZOMFGG to the moments she showed off that turqoise coloured eyes of hers.and the part where she said that she needs sam when he's half dying.such a lucky bastard.
and the best line she said in the movie.KISS THAT, BITCH!
and the supporting cast is also good, providing comic relief to the movie (sam's parents, his roommate, that sector 7 fella).
not forgetting the other transformers on either side.had goosebumps when jetfire came alive and transformed.sideswipe owned sideways with just a blade.ironhide commanding leadership when optimus is not around.and wheelie the RC monster truck is so darn cute too!

the fallen looks menacing while neither starscream nor megatron was as imposing as the first movie.bad thing is that decepticons die too easily, though they have quite the number of transformers.
overall, 5 out of 5 popcorns.no doubt the best movie this year, despite the thin storyline and repetitive soundtrack.nothing beats robots whacking the shit out of each other.

ytd's haul.optimus prime convoy deluxe class.
i'm definitely not loaded enough to buy the movie's leader class prime so i settled for an alternative.which i had eyes on it for some time.i think it's a rather right timing to buy, considering ROTF opens on wed.
and most of you shld know, optimus prime is the leader of the autobots.which are the good robots.

watched i love you, man with nessa ytd.though she was angry because i was late so we missed the trailers lol.
now this is not your typical romcom which caters to the female counterparts.rather it's about bromance, or in more sophisticated terms, the exploration of platonic relationships between dudes.
fucking hilarious movie.paul rudd plays a rather feminine straight dude while jason segel (ftw!) plays a straight dude yet to explore his feminine side.the chemistry between is so natural and us guys can totally relate to the type of relationship both their characters have.
can totally relate to the exploration of relationship between guy/girl and guy/guy.ohohoh and rashida jones, who plays rudd's fiancee in the film, is so fucking pretty.
overall, 4 out of 5 popcorns.probably one of the best romcoms ever.and who could forget jon favreau and jamie pressley?so fucking rofl.I SLAPPPPP DA BASSSSSSS.

i got hurt by you during the wee hours we turned 16 months old.which is incidentally, today.i dknw why i felt the hurt and all that.am i supposed to?
i just want you to know that you go ahead and enjoy the dull monotony of work and the company of your colleagues on such a special day.because i know i will be indulging in that.
blame it on my short term memory you said.or the fact that i never listen to you whenever you try to make a point.and like i alrd said, it's not that i never listen but it's because i choose not to.because me thinks i can change your mind.after all, i'm your boyfriend.that should mean smth right?
but i ain't superman.i can't change the course of mighty rivers.i can't change your mind either especially if your mind is set on smth.i know i know you well enough to know that.
heck i don't even know why i'm writing this at all.
do i feel hurt now?can i even consider how i feel now as being hurt?
maybe.maybe not.i'm just sad that we can't spend our 16th mth together.scheduling conflicts.communication breakdown.i wld like to say that i got hurt when you just put down the phone on me just now.

i wld like to argue my case here but for what reason?i know you have a solid case to argue back.i know you will say that i have short term memory and cldn't rmbr what i said.or that how i havnt been doing things for you.or how unreasonable/irritating/frustrating i am.
i know i wldn't feel how i feel right now when i go to sleep and wake up later in the morning.the pain would not be there.i would just be thinking how dumb it is of me to feel that way or write what i've just written.
and i wouldn't expect a morning message from you.
because you'll be ignoring me, like you always do whenever we're in such a position.i know you'll miss me because we ain't messaging each other.i know our ego will keep us from msging each other.but in the end i know you'll message back first.because you always do.

haul for the day.spent $63 on 2 comic books haha.
first up, superman for all seasons.any geek should know this is a pretty old comic (way back in '98) but heck, it's by jeph loeb and tim sale.you couldn't go wrong with 'em.finished reading it otw home hahaha.
the main haul.final crisis baybeh!!saw this while purchasing superman and snapped it up without hesitation.the crisis to end it all, starting from crisis on infinite earths to infinity crisis.been waiting for this since late last year.
to top it off, it's THE new release this month.what an iconic picture, supes holding the dying bats in his arm.
and it's a hardcover version! =DD
