the teaser pictures released today and ytd.the policeman joker and the joker from the mob meeting scene.pretty ridiculous to release this deluxe fig, considering both jokers have an added screen time of less than 10mins in total.

now talk abt really milking a franchise to the limit.though i wld look forward to seeing how DX this fig turns out to be.

something i felt during lunchtime.

i was late by 50 mins.she seemed unhappy.she has the rights to i guess.but deep inside there was this little emotional battle.

part of me wanted to call her a selfish and impatient prick.argue with her, make sure she crash and burn.deny that it was my fault.ignore her.

part of me wanted to just look at her.see that frustrated face of her glaring at me.or just staring into space.at that point i dknw whether to break into a smile or just laugh.

i did none.i just observed her.

you see, despite all that.i enjoy seeing her this way.she looks cute and oh so attractive whenever she's angry or frustrated.it just makes me want to plant a kiss on her cheek on her face then flash a cheeky grin.

and then she's probably just roll her eyes and go "mehh" again.

now that's why she's so unique in her own way.she's the girl i love. ;)

on another note, went out with nessa today.her short butchered hair ain't that bad, suits her though.lunched at soup spoon, both our first times there.noob i know hahaha.shldn't have ordered that clam chowder though.

watched detroit metal city after some walking ard looking for my prom stuff.


not that bad a show.about an aspiring musician, souchi negishi, who goes to tokyo harbouring dreams of being a trendy pop musician.but turns out he became the popular lead singer of death metal band dmc (detroit metal city), johannes krauser II.

ridiculously funny and crude, staying true to the anime.though it wld be better if there was the pig of capitalism.the character potrayal was spot on.overall, 3.5 popcorns.highly enjoyable if you're in for a laugh.

and finally by the end of the day, i got my prom stuff!haha and i got both of us lost trying to get from china square central to clark quay's central.ended up in raffles place in the end lol.

spend the day with baby walking ard town looking for my prom stuff.managed to find what i wanted so yea, prom planning shldn't hold me down now.haha.

football channel's clash at the quay.man utd 1-4 liverpool.utter humiliation of the red devils.where did it all go wrong one might ask?


in truth, we played a bad game of football ytd despite starting brightly.the torres-gerrard partnership destroyed us.

tevez trying too hard to impress.park ji-sung showed signs of brilliance, but not good enough.ronaldo was shut out.rooney was trying to make the difference.the midfield pairing of anderson and carrick was rather anonymous.vidic didn't have the best of games trying to mark fernando torres out.

the triple substituition of berbatov, giggs and scholes was an act of desperation in hope to salvage a point from the game.though i must say vidic didn't deserve his marching orders.heck he wasn't even the last man.

liverpool wasn't exactly playing their best, but united was just plain bad.oh well i guess this makes the title race more interesting with united's lead at the top cut down to 4 points, albiet a game in hand.

so went to sentosa ytd with ain, khai and meiyin for the skyride and kuge.was the first time i tried the luge there but it was shiokkk X 100.ended up it was always me and meiyin competing for last place and lucky i wasn't the last. =D

not forgetting the epic LOL of ytd's trip.right ain? ;)

since we have some time to spare, decided to catch a movie.watchmen hahahaha.2nd time for me watching this movie, which i totally don't mind cause that movie is just plain awesome to the core.though it made my gf angry at me, but not for long also heh.

went to mdis for some life science talk after the movie.i was supposed to be there with sherilyn but i ended up being very late and almost missing the whole talk.had toast box for dinner at causeway point after that.what a long bus trip back to woodlands.

peanut butter toast! =D

sherilyn ordered mee siam while i had chicken sausage egg noodles.which i think its a bloody rip off considering it's $4.20 for a bowl of instant noodles?headed home after dinner.

still get goosebumps when i watch it.such epic awesomeness is watchmen.this time round, could notice the easter eggs that director zack snyder planted in the movie heh.

bought the watchmen (music from the motion picture) soundtrack today.my first soundtrack cd.



geeking out on the soundtrack is the best thing you can do while waiting patiently for the dvd to be released.from nat "king" cole to simon & garfunkel to my chemical romance.now this is pop culture packaged into a compact disc.

who watches the watchmen?after those months of hype and anticipation, it's out!watched watchmen today with sherilyn, after much delay heh.a fanboy's wet dream come true.


to me, this is probably THE movie event of the year.THE comic book movie of all comic book movies.because as a graphic novel, watchmen is a literary breakthrough, a masterpiece in it's own rights.it's like THE graphic novels to end all graphic novels.

as for the movie, from a fanboy's point of view, it is awesome.visually astounding, intense and impactful.it's the watchmen movie that you've always wanted to see, but never thought would turn out this way.

set in an alternate 1985 america where the cold war tension is high between the united states and soviet union, masked vigilante rorschach discovers his fellow watchman, the comedian was murdered and uncovers a plot that threatens to eliminate costumed superheroes.together with the other watchmen, nite owl II, silk spectre II and dr manhattan, they soon uncover a conspiracy that not just link to their past but also have a castatrophic effect on the human kind.

true enough, the movie stays faithful to the graphic novel, even to the narration of rorschach's journal.some fans might not like it but i do.but my only qualm abt the movie as a whole is that the movie is too short.left out the tales of the black frieghter, which plays a significant yet small role in the graphic novel.


character developement was also limited by the length of the movie, as each character did not have time to grow to have an equal impact it did in the graphic novel.characters like nite owl II, the comedian and ozymandias could have been better.this is one reason why watchmen is best left as a literary medium rather than a visual medium.

jackie earle haley's potrayal of rorschach/walter kovacs was perfect though.he IS rorschach and what i imagined rorschach from the graphic novel to be.strong in his sense of moral absolutism, cynical and brutally agressive.

i also love the way how pop music is fused into different scenes of the movie.the times are a-changin' by bob dylan, to show the backstory of how minutemen evolved to watchmen.the sound of silence by simon & garfunkel, showing the funeral of the comedian.it leaves viewers to intepret the scene in the way they want to view it.

overall, 4 out of 5 popcorns.visually powerful and compelling, the fight scenes brutal, heavy handed and awesome X 100.the narrative and storytelling could be improved on though.

already hyping up for the movie event of the year, for me that is.got myself a dc direct watchmen 6 inch figure today also.god i'm going to go so broke because of this.with wave 2 coming in 2 weeks time, not good for my pockets.
